Free Open-Enrollment Program for Stockton Unified 6th-12th Grade Students
For over 25 years, the Pacific MESA (Mathematics, Engineering and Science Achievement) Program has provided Stockton families and students with essential skills and resources to achieve success in school, career, life, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math)-related disciplines.
The foundation of the MESA program is hands-on STEM projects that challenge students to utilize their creativity and ingenuity to find innovative solutions to problems. The program also provides academic support through internships, summer programs, mentors, high school and college planning activities, and scholarships. MESA students go on to achieve great academic success because of their ability to rely on one another, to never give up and to think creatively. This success is reflected in our numbers:
Despite school closures, throughout the 2020-2021 school year we were still able to engage students though through academic support, hands-on projects and online activities. This hybrid model provided a lot of helpful resources and has expanded the possibilities and reach of the MESA program not only locally, but also Statewide. - ~1200 Stockton 6th-12th grade students participate in MESA each year
- 93% of our graduating seniors continue on to institutions of higher education
- 55 scholarships were awarded to MESA students continuing on to study STEM fields at Pacific in the last 2 years.
- 83% of our students that state a career interest want to pursue a career in a STEM field.
- 41% of our graduating seniors are UC bound.

- MESA gear, prizes and treats!
