Mental Health Resources

Did you know that nearly 1 in 10 people between the ages of 12 and 17 suffers from severe depression and that suicide is the second leading cause of death among adolescents (CDC 2017)? The first step in taking care of your future is taking care of yourself. Pacific MESA believes that talking about your mental health normalizes mental health care. Here are some resources that our student staff has compiled and likes.

Having motivational quotes is always beneficial because it gets your mind in that positive mindset. You can use these images as lock screens, so every time you look at your phone you will feel motivated. Another thing you can do is get a collage with motivational quotes and put them around your room. Also, you could create your own and that could be a fun activity and time you can take for yourself. Here are some ideas on where to find these:

Writing down your thoughts and feelings to understand them more clearly. And if you struggle with stress, depression, or anxiety, keeping a journal can be a great idea.
