Dates: TBD for 2025
Description: The Pacific MESA Summer Program is a one-week overnight camp that will take place on the Stockton Pacific Campus with participating students staying in the dorms. The program will bring together MESA students from the district and other parts of the state to learn about environmental sustainability in engineering through hands-on workshops with Pacific School of Engineering and Computer Science professors. Students will then work together in competing teams to create sustainable engineering solutions to on-campus challenges. Winning teams will receive $200 per student and will have the opportunity to work with our Pacific MESA team to build their projects.
Participants: Incoming 11th grade (current 10th graders), incoming 12th grade (current 11th graders), and incoming freshmen to Pacific are welcome to apply. Applying participants should be first generation students-meaning that neither parent/guardian has earned a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in the U.S. A total of 25 students will be accepted to the program.
